Opposition holding consultations to call all parties-moot on creation of new provinces, other issues: Gohar

The opposition said on Friday that they intended to hold consultations to call an all-parties conference to discuss several issues, including the creation of new provinces, law and order and the economy.

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan announced this while speaking to the media after a meeting of his party with Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F).

“We decided that on all national issues, we will take political parties into confidence,” he said, adding that “the current law and order situation, the economy, inflation, lawlessness, and the provinces’ issue” called for an all-parties conference.

Gohar termed the meeting a positive development and expressed hope that the consultations will continue.

Separately, Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Mehmood Khan Achakzai also posted on X that he and Senate Opposition Leader Raja Nasir held a meeting with PTI leaders, including Gohar, and it had been decided to hold an all-parties conference “at the earliest”.
