Asad Qaiser predicts decline of PML-N, compares it to PML-Q | The Express Tribune

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Qaiser stated on Tuesday criticised the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), claiming its political influence is waning.

Speaking during an interview on a local news channel, he said, “The politics of the PML-N has come to an end. The PML-N will become the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) of the future.” He emphasised that Nawaz Sharif should acknowledge the PML-N’s electoral defeat and PTI’s victory.

Qaiser further criticised the PML-N’s declining popularity and its alleged desire to exit power. Addressing the situation in Punjab, he condemned the lack of basic human rights, labelling Punjab as a “police state.”

“For us, the country comes first. We want to see an independent judiciary. We [PTI] do not doubt the judges, but the government seeks to appoint like-minded judges,” Qaiser said. He added that the government would not succeed in banning the PTI.

“We are exploring ways to remove the incumbent government, but no final decision has been made regarding a vote of no-confidence motion,” Qaiser said. He added that the decision regarding the return of former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry to the party rests with the founder.
