Bomb attack on police van in South Waziristan injures 10 – SUCH TV



A remote-controlled bomb blast in South Waziristan injured 10 people, including six police officers, on Monday. The police vehicle, which was transporting officers to duty, was targeted in the attack.

According to rescue officials, the explosion occurred as the police officers were being transported in a private vehicle to the Krikot Road in Wana Rustam Bazar area of ​​South Waziristan.

The powerful blast was heard across a large distance.

The injured included police officers Aurangzeb, Muhammad Tahir, Kamran, and Attaullah, along with civilians Syed Akhtar, Amanullah, Abid, Habib Jan, Noor Khatam, and Noor Salam.

Rescue 1122 teams responded promptly, providing medical aid on-site before transferring the injured to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital.

Police forces also reached the scene to gather evidence and launch an investigation into the incident.

The area has been cordoned off as authorities continue their search for those responsible.

In another remote controlled IED attack earlier earlier on Sunday, a son of a tribal elder was killed on his car in Lower South Waziristan district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
