THIMPU : Pakistan’s Under-17 football team has stormed into the semi-finals of the 2024 SAFF Under-17 Championship after a commanding 5-1 victory over Sri Lanka in their final group stage match.
Held in Bhutan, the match saw the Pakistani side dominate with an aggressive performance, securing their place in the semi-finals of the prestigious tournament. Pakistan’s Subhan Karim was the star of the game, netting two goals, while Muhammad Talha and Abdul Ghani contributed one goal each, dismantling the Sri Lankan defense.
This was Pakistan’s second win in three group stage matches, following a 3-3 draw against the host nation, Bhutan. Pakistan’s consistent performance throughout the group stage has bolstered their chances in the tournament.
