Parishioners gathered for a prayer vigil for Dr Helen Haines at St John’s Anglican Church in Wodonga evening on Tuesday evening. Members lit candles and prayed as a group for Haines’s recovery led by the Venerable Canon Scott Jessup, Archdeacon of the Hume, with some of those present visibly upset.
Among the group were those who knew Haines personally including Dr Lachlan McKeeman, who trained under her and was endorsed by the MP as an independent candidate in the upcoming Victorian state election.
