With the final count unlikely to shift results significantly, experts say Gadi Eisenkot’s hopes of unseating Benjamin Netanyahu rest on his willingness to work with Palestinian parties
Israeli police have dismissed claims by Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party that the election was “stolen” by parties representing Palestinian citizens of Israel, according to comments reported by Hebrew-language media outlets.
A police source, as quoted by the Times of Israel, said:
Election day passed with very few irregular incidents concerning the integrity of the election, even when compared to previous elections.
It should be emphasised that there is no investigative- or intelligence-based supporting evidence for the claims.”
