Democrat Connie Chan has conceded in the race to fill Nancy Pelosi’s vacant seat in the House of Representatives. Chan, Pelosi’s preferred candidate in the race, congratulated fellow Democrat Scott Wiener.
The Associated Press is yet to call the California race, but in a statement posted online, Chan said that she did not believe there was a viable path to victory.
